Need to migrate your system tape archive to a new format or a new platform? Our tape conversion and reformatting service can read your existing MAINFRAME, UNIX or VAX tape archives and write new tapes, compact disks or DVD disks in formats compatible with your current systems. At the end of last year, we have converted over 40,000 tapes for use on other systems.

We can process old VAX VMS files in vmsbackup format and written to TK50, TK70, TK85, TK86, TZ87, Nine-Track and 8-MM tape and convert them to Windows formatted CD's and DVD's. We can rewrite your files using current formats like ArcServe, Backup Exec or NTBACKUP and tape media like 4MM, AIT, Mammoth or DLT.

We currently support several Linux systems for reading, restoring and converting Unix tapes. We can rewrite 'tar' and 'cpio' formatted data and system tapes or we can migrate the tape archive to the Windows platform and write standard ArcServe, Backup Exec or NTBACKUP formatted tapes on media like 4MM, AIT, Mammoth or DLT. In our last Unix tape conversion project we read 5,200 8mm 'cpio' tapes and wrote 4,000 DVD's.

We can migrate your standard label nine-track, 3480 and 3490E tapes and data to new media and formats. If data conversion is needed, we can read, decode and convert EBCDIC, PIC, COMP-3 and binary fields to ASCII or binary. Some past projects included, conversion of accounts payable data, human resource data, phone billing tapes from sprint and att, and irs ssa and tib tapes for use on PC's.

BIT, DLIS and LIS 4mm and nine track tape reformatting and conversion

We have been serving the needs of the petroleum industry for the past fifteen years reading, processing and converting wire line well logs, electric logs and other down hole surveys. Most of our clients usually have thousands of digital well log files on nine-track magnetic tape sometimes scattered at numerous locations within their facilities. Usually when historical data is needed, many find out that some of the data is lost, the hardware needed to read the data no longer exists, the data is in the wrong format or the media is failing. We can convert LAS, LIS, DLIS, BIT, SSIS and ESLOG formats.
